Juste avant sa mort, Christian PENDA EKOKA a adressé son dernier message aux membres du mouvement AGIR-ACT. Le voici en intégralité. “Toute belle histoire se conclut avec un regard sur l’avenir rempli d’espoir. Ainsi s’achève mon chapitre avec ACT-AGIR, alors que son livre lui continue de s’écrire.Le rêve ACT-AGIR a démarré sans aucune garantie qu’il survivrait le choc d’un réveil brutal, lorsque mis en face des réalités camerounaises. Mais l’écho de l’appel a fait vibrer une fibre chez certains, qui s’y sont reconnus.
La mèche a pris et le rêve a imposé sa réalité.Il est rare d’être gratifié de l’opportunité de participer à la matérialisation d’une vision. Je suis honoré de la confiance que vous m’avez accordée et reconnaissant de l’énergie que vous m’avez insufflée pour faire avancer avec vous la cause. Le privilège était mien de vous accompagner dans cette aventure et ma gratitude en est profonde.Je souhaite que vous poursuiviez ensemble le travail et que vous vous souteniez les uns les autres dans un respect mutuel. J’ai l’absolue confiance que vous avez en vous tout le nécessaire pour porter la mission d’ ACT-AGIR, qui est de doter l’individu pour qu’il puisse exercer ses libertés et assumer sa destiné.
Le chemin sera long et l’aventure dans ce sens ne fait que commencer.Je me retire en toute sérénité et avec la conviction que le mouvement est en marche et entre de bonnes mains.Chère Jeunesse, à vous de jouer!CPE

Every beautiful story concludes with an outlook to the future filled with hope. Thus ends my chapter with ACT-AGIR, as its book goes on being written.
The ACT-AGIR dream started with no assurance that it would survive the trauma of a brutal awakening, when colliding with the Cameroonian reality. But as the call echoed, it struck a chord with a few who recognized themselves in its message. The spark took and the dream imposed its own reality.It is a rare reward to be granted the opportunity to take part in the realization of a vision. I’m humbled by your trust in me and grateful for the energy that you’ve inspired me to serve the cause with you.
The privilege was mine to accompany you in this adventure and I feel profoundly indebted.I wish that you would go on working together, in a spirit of mutual respect and solidarity. I have the absolute confidence that you have within you what it takes to promote and carry ACT-AGIR’s mission, which is to empower the individual, so that anyone could express their freedom and own their destiny. The journey in that sense will be long and is only just starting.I’m leaving with serenity and with the conviction that the train is in motion and in capable hands.
