Mr Ellie Smith, it was a good presentation you did. But I just wish to fortify you with answers to some of the questions your friend Mr Dipita,Tongo asked: 1/ why would the government dialogue on the issue of separation when it can be a trap, simply it can only be a trap if the government believes it had failed to give it’s citizens the sense of belonging..And if they have realized it now, it is a call for apology, reparations and building of ground works to make sure such marginalization never occur in future. This is what an open and inclusive dialogue even with separatist will do..the government knows this very well but they are dismissing the idea of inclusive dialogue with all those useless questions and excuses because they believe deep in their hearts that Anglophones don’t deserve anything better…
2/ he asked how legitimate are those separatist leaders over the people.. in simple responds, those leaders hv no financial capital to sponsor their pursuit of war, they depend on donations from the people.if the people did not pay their allegiance/legitimacy to them, they will not be contributing hard earn money for 3years……also if the leaders where not legitimate, the people Will not take the risk to fight a war at the expense of their life’s on no salary for 3years as per their instructions….the question that can be derive from this hypothesis is, how popular is the idea of those fighting over those who are neutral? ?? That is why inclusive dialogue is necessary to experiment this and put an end once for all to such provocations going on…
